Inauguration of the Festival
The festival starts officially on Saturday, June 30th 2009, at 13:00, on the beautiful terraces of the hotel Punta Verudela, where an adequate aperitif will be served.
This is the first chance to meet all singers and to get the first contacts.
Open Air Concerts
Dates: Saturday
Sequence: Choirs from different countries perform the complete afternoon.
Repertoire: Local or international
Duration: Pure singing time per choir is 25 minutes
Rehearsal: In the hotel
E-piano: Available on request. Please ask for the conditions.

The “Golden Gate” was erected between the years 29 and 27 BC by the Sergi family, in honor of three members of the family who held important positions in Pula at that time. Today numerous cultural performances, theatrical and musical, are held on the square next to the Arch. The adjacent street is a shopping area.
The Temple, situated in the Forum, is dedicated to goddess Roma and Emperor Augustus. It was constructed between the year 2 BC and AD 14 when the Emperor died. According to its shape it follows the typical pattern of temples.

Dates: May 30 evening - Saturday & May 31-Sunday

Church services
Church servicees in a church in Pula or surrounding.
Dates: Available on Sunday morning or evening
Rehearsal: In the hotel
Repertoire: The churches must give the permission
to the repertoire. Music&friends has no influence to
this decision. If the priest doesn’t permit the
suggested songs, no claims can be made against.
Important: Each choir can choose between a
church Concert and a church service.
Both performances are not possible.
Farewell closing concert
The final concert with all participating choirs will take place at the Municipal Theatre of Pula. Each choir introduce himself with one song of his choice; the crowning conclusion will be a common song interpreted in harmony by all the choirs present.

Farewell dinner
An optional Farewell Dinner can be booked at May 31 after the final concert. The choirs meet in a typical Istrian restaurant with local food, music and dance, to finalize the stay in Pula and to get more contacts to singers from other countries.
Dates: 31 May - Sunday evening after closing concert
This Farewell Dinner is not included in the basic services and price. With aperitif, 4-course-menu and 2 beverages (beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages) the costs are € per person.

FridayMay 29th | Arrival at the hotel; late afternoon or evening. Welcoming by the guide. Check in at the hotel, dinner and first opportunity to explore Pula. |
SaturdayMay 30th | Breakfast, half-day sightseeing tour through Pula with the choir’s language speaking guide. After sightseeing, departure for the inauguration of the Festival – cocktail included. Afternoon: free time, preparing and rehearsal. Dinner at the hotel and daperture for the friendship concert with 2– 3 choirs from a different country at the Open-Air-Stage on the town’s squares or in churches. Overnight. |
SundayMay 31th | Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for lunch, possibility to explore Pula and surroundings (on request). In the afternoon preparing and rehearsal and closing concert. After concert, dinner back at the hotel or on request Farewell dinner with other choirs to close the event. |

The individual programme for every choir is determined and presented close before departure to Pula.
